Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Purifying Face Mask

Hello Lovelies,

Today I wanted to share with you something I've really enjoyed using for the last few weeks and that is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Purifying Face Mask. When Palmer’s Skincare was on offer in Superdrug I bought this and the Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Cleansing Gel because I had been wanting to try this range for a while. I use face masks quite often and I couldn't wait to try this one when I got it. I have used this Face Mask a few times now and have really enjoyed using it.

This face mask has ‘natural Green Clay’ that 'will help draw out pore clogging impurities allowing the deeply nourishing natural Almond Oil to get to work on dry skin'. It also has 'Evening Primrose Oil, Chamomile extracts and Aloe Vera' that 'will help to calm the skin while Menthol will leave it feeling cool' and 'Cocoa Butter will keep the skin nicely moisturised'.

It has a lovely smooth texture and is quite thick, which means it applies to your face easily and evenly and it feels quite cooling when you apply it. It doesn’t smell like Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion but it does have a subtle smell of cocoa butter, which I think is really nice. It dries a little while you have it on, but not completely and once washed off it leaves you skin feeling really clean and fresh. I will definitely buy another one of these when I have used this one up.

Have you tried this or anything else from the Palmer's Skincare Range?

NOTD - Ciaté London Paint Pot in Island Hopping

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have a NOTD Post for you and my NOTD is Ciaté London Paint Pot in Island Hopping. I received this in my July Glossybox and loved the colour instantly. It is a gorgeous red/dark orange colour with lots of gold shimmer.

This nail polish is quite thick and I was really impressed with how well it applied, it applied really smoothly and evenly. I absolutely love this colour and wore it a lot in the summer, but I think it will also be really nice around Christmas time. I love that the Ciaté Paint Pots have a satin bow on the front, I think that makes them really cute.

In the photo I have applied a base coat of Rimmel’s Nail Rescure, then two coats of the Ciaté Paint Pot followed by a coat of No. 7's Stay Perfect Top Coat.

Have you tried any of Ciaté Paint Pots? Did you get one in your July Glossybox?

Thanks for reading :)

My September ‘The London Edition’ Glossybox

Hello Lovelies,

I love seeing what other people get in their Glossyboxes, so today I wanted to share with you what I received in my September Glossbox.

The Theme for this month’s Glossybox is ‘The London Edition’ with products chosen to celebrate London Fashion Week and great British Style. I really like the design of this month’s box and think it’s really nice when the boxes aren’t the usual pink ones.

Included with this month’s Glossybox was GB Mag, which is a new edition to Glossyboxes and I think is a lovely little extra. It is similar to the magazine you get with Birchboxes with short features and articles that you can flick through and read when you have a few minutes.

Here is what I got this month…..

Eylure Pre-Glued Lashes
I sometimes wear lashes for nights out and so was pleased to see these were in my Glossybox. I haven’t tried pre-glued ones before because I wasn't sure they would stay on as well as lashes you use glue with, but I will give these a try.

Toni&Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum - 30ml
This packaging for this has a limited edition design, which I think is quite nice. This claims to control frizz with lightweight shine and is a full size product and it is always nice to get full size products in a Glossybox. I use serums on my hair sometimes so this will definitely get used.

Be A Bombshell Eye Liner in Onyx - 3ml
This is an eye liner with a felt tip end that can be used to draw a thin or thick line and it claims to last all day. I haven’t heard of this brand or product before, but I like using eye liner pens like this, so this is perfect for me.

Elizabeth Arden Untold Eau De Parfum – 5ml
I was really pleased when I saw that this perfume sample wasn't a small vial, instead it is in a gorgeous miniature bottle, that is the perfect size to carry in your bag. This is described as a ‘modern floral fragrance’ and I really like it, so will definitely use it.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips - 3ml
This is a ‘versatile healing and nourishing multipurpose SOS balm’ that claims to leave ‘lips smooth and soft with a glossy sheen’. I haven’t tried this before, but as the weather gets colder my lips always need something like this, so I was really pleased that it was included in my Glossybox.

Overall I am really pleased with what I received this month, all the products are products I will use and can’t wait to try.

If you are interested in trying a Glossybox, you can find out more here: Glossybox.

What did you get in your Glossybox this month? Leave me your link as a comment if you have posted about yours.

MAC Lipstick in Patisserie

Hello Lovelies,

I have been really busy lately so haven’t been able to post as much as I would have liked to. Anyway today I would like to share with you something that I bought recently and am absolutely loving and that is a MAC Lipstick in the shade Patisserie.

I had been looking for a lipstick that was a ‘my lips but better’ colour and a few weeks ago I was shopping with a friend and we found ourselves in MAC (doesn’t everyone?). I hadn't bought a MAC lipstick before but after swatching a few, I fell in love with Patisserie. It is one of their Lustre Lipsticks and is a gorgeous sheer creamy nude/pink colour.

This lipstick applies smoothly, feels really moisturising, lasts really well and gives your lips a glossy finish. It is a perfect everyday colour and I think this will stay as a firm favourite of mine for a while

Do you have a favourite ‘my lips but better’ lipstick?

Thanks for reading :)

My September Birchbox

Hey Lovelies,

I have been really busy recently and haven’t been able to post on here, but today I wanted to share with you what I received in my September Birchbox. This is the third Birchbox I have received and it is definitely my favourite one so far :)

As well as the Birchbox itself you also get a Birchbox Magazine that has short articles about various things including beauty, life and about some of the products that were in this month’s Birchboxes, which I think is a nice little extra.

Inside my Birchbox was…..

Reverence de Bastien Nail Polish in No. 13 – 12ml
This is a gorgeous shimmery red/wine colour and the sort of colour I love wearing. I think it will be perfect for autumn/winter and I can’t wait to try it.

Bioderma Sebium H20 - 20ml
I haven’t tried any Bioderma products yet, but have wanted to so I was really excited to see this in my Birchbox. This one is for combination to oily skin, which is my skin type so absolutely perfect for me. I’m really looking forward to using this and I hope it lives up to the reviews I've seen!

Eva Cosmetics Mystic Diamond – 6ml
This is a ‘nourishing argon oil with diamond powder’ and I haven’t heard of it before, but I like using these sorts of products before drying my hair, so I will give this a try.

ModelCo. Party Proof Matte Lipstick in Kitty - 3.8g
This claims to be a ‘long-lasting moisturising lipstick’ and it is in a gorgeous nude/pink colour (the photo doesn't show the true colour very well and it is a lot lighter than it looks in the photo) and I’m looking forward to trying this.

Molton Brown Ylang-Ylang Nourishing Body Lotion – 30ml
I received the Molton Brown Body Wash in the same scent in my August Birchbox and so was pleased when I saw this inside, because I think it is always nice to use a body wash and moisturiser with the same scent. This is quite a small bottle, but I think it’s the perfect size to take with you for a weekend away.

Green & Black’s White Chocolate
I love Green & Black’s Chocolate and particularly their white chocolate, so this was a lovely little extra in this month’s Birchbox.

Overall I am really pleased with what I received this month, especially that two of the products were full size ones.

What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Leave me your link as a comment if you have posted about yours.
