Another little Superdrug Beauty Haul

Hello Lovelies,

So I decided to pop into my local Superdrug to see what offers they have this month and I ended up buying a few things. I don't know if you are the same, but it seems that when something is on offer it makes me want it even more and I can't resist a bargain!

Here is what I bought.....

Firstly I got another Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser, because mine has almost run out and this was half price which was an added bonus. I have been loving this recently and blogged about it here. All of Superdrug's Naturally Radiant range is half price at the moment and I also bought the Brightening Eye Cream which was only £2.99. I haven't tried this before but I think it was recommended to me during a #bbloggers chat, so thought I would give it a try.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution is on offer at the moment and only £2.48 so I decided to get some more. I love this and included it in my June Favourites post here. I find this takes my makeup off really easily and feels really cooling when you use it. If you haven't tried it, what have you got to lose when it is only £2.48?!

Some of Barry M's Nail Polishes were 2 for £6, so I decided to try a couple of the Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints. These nail polishes have a high shine gel effect finish and I have been wanting to try them for a while after seeing lots of good reviews of them. I bought Papaya which is a lovely pastel peachy coral colour and Passion Fruit which is a gorgeous colour, but I'm not sure how to describe it other than it looks like a mix of bright red/coral/pink/orange. I can't wait to try these and think they are perfect colours for summer, so I'm hoping the sun stays around for a bit longer :)

On the way to the till I noticed that the Fudge Urban range was on offer and better than half price and a few days earlier I had seen Fudge Urban Sea Salt recommended in a magazine, so because it was only £3.47 I decided to give it a try. It says it can be used to create 'messy out of the surf sexy beach hair' or used before you blow dry to create extra volume and natural texture and it has a lovely coconut smell, so I'm really looking forward to trying this. I also picked up some Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hair Spray, which was on offer for £2.47. I have seen a few beauty bloggers mention this and say that it smells really nice, so I thought I would try it. It says it gives you 'soft to touch hair and 24 hours of hold' and it has anti frizz properties, which are both things I like from a hair spray, so I think I'll enjoy using this and the smell of ice raspberry and vanilla is a lovely bonus :)

Are you like me and can't resist an offer? I'd love to hear if you have found any good offers recently?

Thanks for reading :)

My June Favourites

Hello Lovelies,

I love reading what other people’s favourite products are and think it’s a good way of discovering products you may not have tried, so today I am going to share with you the beauty products I loved using in June.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub – I absolutely love the smell of this, it smells like sweet lime and it leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised. I use this a couple of times a week and it makes my skin feel softer and I think also look brighter. I also always use this before shaving and it definitely makes my legs smoother than if I shaved without using it first.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution – I love how when you use this it genuinely feels like you are just using water on your skin. I use it with a cotton wool pads to remove my eye makeup and if you hold the pad on your eyes for a few seconds it removes your eye makeup without having to rub at your eyes and it leaves your eyes and skin feeling refreshed. I don’t have much of this left, but I will definitely be repurchasing it.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser – everytime I use this it leaves my skin feeling really clean and looking brighter and I recently reviewed it here. There are some other things in the range I want to try, but as I don’t really need them I am waiting for them to be on offer again.

MUA Undress Me Too Palette – I read lots of positive reviews about this before I bought it and I have to agree with them. The eyeshadows are quite pigmented and I love all the colours. I sometimes use just one colour and sometimes use two or three together, which I think makes this Palette really versatile. I used this a lot in June and I’m sure I will continue to. It doesn’t always last all day without an eyeshadow primer or base but for only £4 I think it’s really good value.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant – I received this in my March Glossybox and wasn’t quite sure how I would use it, because although it says it is a multi-tasker, it has the texture of a thick lip balm and so I don’t think there are many things I would use this for. However I do use this on my lips and it leaves them really soft and moistured. I had really dry lips at the start of June and this really helped and I have been using it pretty much most days since.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle – this is probably my favourite powder highlighter. I love how subtle it can be if you only apply a little, which I think makes it perfect to wear everyday. I have loved this since I got it, but when we had some sun at the start of June I managed to tan a little and have been using this a lot since, because I think it looks lovely when I have a bit of colour, especially when its sunny too.

Maybelline’s Mega Plush Mascara in Black – my favourite mascaras for a long time have been Maybelline’s Falsies Mascaras, but during a bblogger chat someone recommended this to me and at the time it was on offer in Tesco for only £6, so I thought I would give it a try. It has a gel-mousse formula which claims to leave your eyelashes feeling softer and not hard like other mascaras do and I have to say that it does. It gives my eyelashes extra volume and length and it hardly feels like you are wearing any mascara. I will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.

Have you tried any of these?

First Blog Post - L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash Review

Hey, I'm new to the world of blogging and this is my first post :) I spent a while thinking about what I wanted my first post to be about and I decided it should be about something I am loving at the moment and so it seemed obvious that I should share with you my love of L'Oreal's new GlamShine Stain Splashes.

I love using lip stains as I think the colour stays longer, and I would usually apply lip gloss on top to add some shine. So after reading reviews of YSL's Glossy Stains last year I had to try them and instantly loved the combination of a lip stain and gloss in one. When I heard recently that the new GlamShine Stain Splashes were dupes of the YSL Gloss Stains I couldn't wait to try them.

After swatching a few of the shades I decided to buy Lolita (101), because I wanted one that I could wear as an everyday colour.

From the first time I applied it I loved it and probably as much as I love my YSL Glossy Stain.

The applicator is really soft and the shape of it makes it easy to apply the Stain Splash to your lips. It feels really lovely when applied and not sticky like some lip glosses can feel, although I have found that if you apply lots of layers it can get a little sticky. The colour looks different on your lips than it looks in the tube, especially if you apply several layers, so if you're going to buy one, I would suggest you swatch the shades you like rather than choosing from the colours in the tubes.

In the photo below I have applied one layer, which gives a lovely subtle colour and shine, which I think is perfect for everyday.

You can also build up the colour and gloss as shown in the photo below by applying more layers.

I love this shade and am really pleased with my choice. It has a slight shimmer which I really like and I will definitely be buying some more colours :)

If anyone has tried these I'd love to hear what you think of them and what colours you love or don't like so much.

If you would like me to do a review of my YSL Glossy Stain let me know.
